SUMMARY:Parents Night • film screening & conversations : on Raising Our Kids
DESCRIPTION:OK\, we’ve got you the perfect excuse to step out of your hustling parenting x working life.\nTo pause. To think. And to meet other like-minded parents. \nCome meet us for a film screening followed by a get-together (and food and drinks\, too!)\nThe topic? Raising Our Kids. \nTime: 6:30 PM-8:30pm (Doors open at 6:00pm)\nWhere: Homebrew Club1481 Folsom St\, San Francisco\, CA 94103\, United States \nWhy SEEN? As a friend put it\, after she watched the film “it moved me\, as a parent\, you just have to watch it\, trust me.” I did so. And yes\, it was altogether: uncomfortable\, moving\, vulnerable\, hopeful. This friend happened to know Sam Jockel quite well – the producer and founder of ParentTV. Here we are\, bringing the show from Australia to San Francisco\, and I couldn’t be more excited! \nWhat is SEEN? Seen is a transformative documentary that reveals how we cannot truly see our children until we’ve done the work of seeing ourselves. The film explores how healing our emotional wounds can transform not only our own lives but also the lives of our children. Offering tools to break generational patterns and build deeper connections\, Seen invites viewers to spark the healing journey and create healthier\, more compassionate families. Definitely a thought-provoking film and a perfect discussion starter! Make sure to watch the trailer 👆 \nI am Mathilde\, the mom of two children aged 4 and 6 y/o\, and I am thrilled to host this empowering documentary for the thoughtful parents here in San Francisco! 👋 \nI am the founder of NewKid\, a podcast and newsletter exploring at the intersection of parenting\, education and AI. This screening sesh is the perfect excuse to step out of your crazy hustling parenting x working life\, to pause. To think about the bigger picture. And to share experiences with other like-minded parents. \nI can’t wait to meet you all and get the discussion started! \nThis special event includes: \n✨ 6:30PM to 7:45PM a screening of SEEN: The Film\n✨ 7:45PM to 8:30PM thoughtful\, casual conversations around soft drinks and finger foods (included in the price) \nTickets: Grab your ticket now – spaces are limited!

SUMMARY:Fighting Global Poverty: The Borgen Project
DESCRIPTION:I represent The Borgen Project\, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting global poverty. We work to raise awareness and encourage people to email and call their members of Congress in support of the International Affairs Budget and poverty-reducing legislation. This event aims to inform the community about the realities of extreme poverty — where millions of people live on less than $1.25 a day — and how we can help. As part of the event\, I will be offering hand crafted paper flowers to donors. “If you’re going to San Francisco\, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.” Join us to learn more\, take action\, and support efforts to make global change.

LOCATION:I will be on Spreckels Lake at Golden Gate Park\, on JKF Promenade just north of the Polo Field next to a big eucalyptus tree. It is about a 4 minute walk from 36th and Fulton Street. This is the opening night of the Outer Lands Music Festival.\, Spreckels Lake\, Golden Gate Park\, San Francisco\, C\, 94117\, United States

Much healthier than playing video games at home!” said one Agents of Discovery user. \nAnd here’s the bonus: every Mission your child completes enters them in a prize draw—the more they play\, the better their chances! \nHow to Play:\nDownload the Agents of Discovery app (free!)\nSearch for Missions near you and download them before you go\nHead out and start exploring—no internet or data required! \nWhether you’re hopping on BART\, headed to the beach\, or visiting your local park\, there’s a Mission waiting. It’s a win for physical activity\, a win for learning\, and a win for family bonding. \nSanta Clara County Parks and Recreation Staff say\, “We are excited to be able to allow our visitors a new and different way to engage with and explore our parks using Agents of Discovery.
