A one-of-a-kind backpacking program for teens of all genders (separate trips for male- and female-identified participants), supporting youth ages 13-18 to develop a broad range of skills for traveling safely in the wilderness, connecting deeply to the natural world, and learning to participate in their own lives with a greater sense of gratitude, joy, meaning and honesty. Simultaneously tapped into the current moment and drawing on a range of ancient rituals and practices.
‣ 7-day backpacking adventures for teens going into 8th or 9th grades.
‣ 10-day rites of passage expeditions for 10th-graders and older.
‣ Multi-year course progression for alumni and apprentices.
Location: Yosemite National Park (with pickup and drop off in the East Bay)
