As we all know, a sleepless baby means a sleepless mommy. This winter, we’ve had a lot of sleepless nights.

One of the best recent additions to our bedtime routine is this Little Lotus sleeping bag. I’ve used sleep sacks for years as a safe way to keep my babies warm at night, but this one is different.

Temperature regulation. This sleeping bag regulates your baby’s temperature with proprietary material designed for spacesuits.  Yup – astronaut spacesuits (Tell that to your toddler!). As the company describes, “Originally developed for NASA, these materials are designed to help balance your baby’s skin temperature to reduce overheating & cooling. The technology draws excess heat if your baby is too warm, and releases the warmth if they start to cool down.”

It’s heavier than others. There’s something about heavier material that I think provides a sense of security and comfort. When I put this on my baby, he seems to sleeps longer and more soundly than normal.

The purchase helps another baby in need. With every Little Lotus swaddle or sleeping bag purchase, the company will save a baby in the developing world by providing access to an Embrace incubator.

It’s adorable. I love the design linking colorful hands of mommies and babies from all over the world.

They have a sleep swaddle for preemies 0-3 months and sleeping bags for bigger babies. Unfortunately, there aren’t any that would fit me, and I could definitely use this in my sleep deprived postpartum state!
