Friday Faves & Finds (4.20.18)

week in reviewHappy Friday! The weekend snuck up on me this week, which is always a good thing. It means we’ve been busy and living in the moment! I’m planning a mellow weekend, after being up in Sonoma County last weekend with family. The hiking was beautiful, and my husband and I had an amazing date night, but sometimes it just feels good to be at home. I’m looking forward to doing some spring cleaning Saturday, and maybe a short hike. On Sunday, my friend and I are going to see SF Ballet perform Unbound: A Festival of New Works, which I am so, so excited about! Have a wonderful weekend!

This book has some serious Gone Girl vibes and sucked me in immediately. If you are in need of a fast-paced read, this is it.

I’ve never been to Venice, but maybe this cookbook will give me a taste of what the city’s all about.

The other sweeter cookbook I have my eye on. I love to read cookbooks in the morning while I drink tea and wake up (and try to fend off my toddler who would prefer if I jumped out of bed to play trains, as he does).

The new show that has me hooked. What’s not to love about a good old-fashioned cat and mouse game, especially when the main characters are strong women?

Are you also watching season 4 of Chef’s Table? I love the show but was a bit disappointed by this season. I found this review interesting.

And last but not least, my favorite thing I read this week. How would you sum up your life as a parent right now in 10 words or less? The comments are incredible and inspired my husband and me to come up with our own silly life poems.
