SUMMARY:Read In Ten Fall Cohort Begins: Ten Minutes a Day of Early Reading
DESCRIPTION:Read In Ten is an eight week reading program for parents of kids ages 3 to 5\, whether your child is in preschool and heading toward kindergarten\, already in TK\, or in their kindergarten year. Ten minutes a day\, a parent and a child at the kitchen table. No apps\, no worksheets\, and no screens for the child. \nEach Friday you get that week’s game\, a short video showing you how to play it\, and the reason it works. The program moves through three phases: hearing sounds\, cracking the code\, and building confidence. Every family starts with a one on one assessment\, so the games meet your child where they actually are. A 3 year old who is just starting to hear rhymes and a 5 year old sounding out words both have a place in it. \nThe fall cohort runs October 5 through December 18. There is no activity the week of Thanksgiving\, and the program finishes before winter break. December is a hard month to hold a routine\, which is why the last stretch is games your child already knows how to play. \nEnrollment closes September 25.
