Is that old car seat in the garage or closet collecting dust? In honor of Earth Month, Target will take it off parents’ hands and turn it into something new.

From April 19 to May 2, Target’s Car Seat Trade-In event gives parents a simple way to offload any old or outgrown car seat at a participating store.

In return, they get a 20% Target Circle bonus to put toward new gear. But the more interesting part is what happens to the seat itself. Now in its 10th year, the program has kept 58 million pounds of materials out of landfills and recycled them into more than 690,000 Brightroom and Room Essentials products.

Target is also hosting Tiny Trivia on April 25 and a Baby Box giveaway on April 26 and inviting guests in to explore what’s new in the baby department.
