Disney on Ice’s Dream Big show skates into town with all our favorite Disney prince and princesses. The opening night did not disappoint. It was filled with all the classic romantic disney movie scenes and songs. This was the first Disney on Ice show I’ve been to that packed in nine separate Disney stories into one show.

Make sure to leave ample time for parking. Our event parking at Oracle arena was $35 cash only. That high price was because the Raiders game was happening at the same time in the stadium next to us. Generally, it’s $20, so I highly suggest taking Bart if there is a football game happening at same time as your showtime of choice.  It will save you time fighting your way out of parking lot traffic.

You enter the arena next to the ticket windows through the Plaza Club Entrance. Here, you will be greeted by security to check your bags and scan your tickets. Luckily, security check is very lenient. I saw lots of families with small backpacks filled with snacks and water bottles of their own. If you decide not to bring your own snacks, you have your normal stadium food options: nachos, popcorn, french fries, burgers, etc.

Expect to shell out about $60 – $70 for food and beverages for a family of four (water bottles were $7 each!). Wearing comfy shoes is a must! Lots of walking from the stadium parking lot to will call, to security check and more walking to get to your seats.

The show is split into two halves and narrated by the infamous Disney couple: Mickey and Minnie Mouse. With every new song, you can hear the little tiny human voices karaoking along to each song. It was pretty obvious “Let it Snow, Let it Snow” was a crowd favorite. As I scanned the arena, it wasn’t just the tiny humans singing along but the adults were belting out the addictive lyrics as well.

You will also literally feel the refreshing water bubbles during Sebastian’s ‘under the sea’ medley. You will gasp in awe at a real life fire breathing Maleficent dragon. You will be transported from the heat to chills with Elsa’s snowflakes falling from the rooftop onto your skin.

Disney on Ice didn’t just get the kids screaming their favorite princesses names, parents, including myself, were also yelling for more as we were taken back in time with our favorite classic Disney stories like Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. The obsession with Disney isn’t just a kids’ matter but also an adult addiction that you never really want to grow out of.

Disney on Ice’s ‘Dream Big’ show reminds us that love can save the day if you can dream, so dream big, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
