Napa, Not Just For Adults: Spring Family Fun at The Meritage Resort & Spa
Napa Valley isn’t just for wine lovers—The Meritage Resort and Spa is proving it’s a destination for the whole family with an exciting lineup of family-friendly activities! We checked out the weekend experiences in April, which included a diverse selection of local food trucks to live music by Bill Hauser, lawn games, and movie nights (our flick was Moana 2) under the stars! Remember to bring a cozy blanket for those chilly North Bay evenings.
There are plenty of breakfast options around the resort, from Blend – a charming café serving coffee, tea, pastries, and other grab-and-go breakfast favorites – to Olive and Hay, an Italian-inspired farm-to-table restaurant.

Pro Tip: Kids under 10 eat breakfast free on Sundays at Olive and Hay.
We opted to try a gourmet hot dog from the Meritage’s own food truck, which was bursting with flavors, with a nice vinegary finish thanks to the pickled onions. We then strolled through Fivetown Grocery to pick out some light bites and beverages for a picnic on the lawn. We were delighted to find some allergy-friendly snacks as well! We also stopped by Crush Lounge for a tasty dinner before a game of bowling.
Fivetown Grocery at The Meritage Resort has a great selection of picnic baskets and local artisan merchandise.

The resort has an adult-only pool and a larger family pool, which turns into a lively sun-soaked hub, complete with cabanas and music bumping by a kid-friendly DJ.

While the Meritage is known for their beloved Merry Meritage during the holiday season, we were pleased to learn that they also host a ton of family-centric events during the spring and the summer with the Blue Note Summer Sessions concert series. The resort is the only one in Napa that provides direct access to the “Grape Crusher” statue, which makes for a fun hike with the kiddos!

The Season of Wellness

This spring and summer, The Meritage Resort and Spa invites guests to embrace “The Season of Wellness”—a thoughtfully curated series of immersive mind-body experiences designed to align with the rhythms of nature. From a transformative floating sound bath and a radiant Summer Solstice celebration, each offering is a chance to reconnect, restore, and rise. In the hillside directly behind The Meritage Resort lies Spa Terra, a luxury spa located entirely underground in our 22,000 square foot Estate wine cave.

While Napa is known for its world-class wineries, The Meritage Resort and Spa is redefining the region as a place where families can create unforgettable memories together. This spring, it’s all about blending relaxation, great food, and playful adventure, proving that Napa is just as exciting for kids as it is for adults.
