Celebrate Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, at the SF Botanical Garden. Join San Francisco Bay Area Moms, The Mexican Museum, and the San Francisco Public Library in recognizing this rich Latinx cultural event, in which the dearly departed return every year to visit their loved ones on the 1st and 2nd of November.
Let your creative juices flow with themed craft activities using natural materials from our very own Children’s Garden! Create a niche frame with The Mexican Museum made from eucalyptus bark or paper to hold a small photo of a loved one who has passed away, which attendees are encouraged to bring! Visit the SF Public Library table to pick up books celebrating Latinx culture. Display your art and commemorate your loved ones at our community alter sponsored by the SF Bay Area Moms, or bring your art home and create your own alter!
Admission to the Gardens is free to San Francisco residents, veterans, Museums For All participants, and Gardens members. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.
