On, Saturday Oct 14th, Benicia will be home to five events in one day, during Family Fall-Tastic Saturday!

Experience one of the Bay Area’s most vibrant art communities during Art Walk, see a dog costume contest at the Dog Festival, view the inside of a fire truck at the Fire Station’s Open House or go Shopping at the Book Sale and Craft Fair. All events are free to the public, and there’s always plenty of free street parking nearby.

Saturday October, 14th event lineup:

1.3rd Annual Dog Festival
Celebrate our furry friends with a doggy costume contest, puppy play area, and food trucks. This event supports the incredible non-profit organizations that care for animals during emergencies.

2.Art Walk – final event of the season!
A glass pumpkin patch? An interactive “zombie painter?” Celebrate one of the Bay Area’s most active & vibrant artist communities, and enjoy entertainment & live demonstrations at eight galleries along First Street. This is the last Art Walk until next year, so don’t miss out!

3.Fire Department Open House
Tour the inside of a real-life fire station and all kinds of emergency vehicles. Enjoy various demonstrations, face painting, bouncy house, face painting and more!

4.Friends of the Library Book Sale
Enormous selection of books, audiobooks, LPs, DVDs, CDs, puzzles and more for sale. Most items are $1 and Teen/children books are just 50¢!

5.Fall Market
Pop in and see what unique items you can find at this Fall Market Craft Fair.
