The power is yours to protect the planet! CAMP at The Tech: Planet Protectors invites young innovators to step up as environmental stewards and green engineers. In this week-long summer camp session, rising 2nd and 3rd graders will dive deeply into animal and habitat conservation, while rising 4th-6th graders will put on their hard hats to tackle environmental engineering and sustainable design challenges.
Our younger campers, the Gizmos group, will explore the natural world through projects like designing Pollinator Pitstops, building safe Wildlife Crossings, and embarking on an Urban Animal Safari. Meanwhile, our older campers, the Gadgets group, will take on urban sustainability inside the Eco Design Depot, exploring Green Machine Engineering and acting as Cityscape Creators to construct eco-friendly communities.
Through these targeted, age-appropriate tracks, campers will discover how human ingenuity, creativity, and technology can solve real-world environmental issues. It is an empowering, hands-on week of sustainable engineering right at The Tech Interactive, San Jose’s beloved science center.
