    After decades of research and clinical trials, the HPV vaccine was approved starting in 2006. Health experts will explain the science background and health benefits of this vaccine, especially when children are vaccinated at age 11 or 12 years old.     Let’s keep the Purim fun going for a fun-filled family Purim Shabbat! We will have activities for babies, toddlers, and big siblings too, so bring the whole family for some Purim fun. Come in costume, join the costume parade, nosh on a hamantaschen cookie, and move and groove with the Or Shalom music ensemble and our puppet friends! Masks are optional.

    You do not need to be a member of Or Shalom or any organization to attend this event.

    This event is free, but please consider a $10 donation to help support all of our wonderful programs. We know babies can be unpredictable, so please show up when you can!

    We will be taking photos at our events for future publicity and images will be used without names. If you prefer not to participate, please tell a Jewish Baby Network staff person at the event.

    Our programs are designed for families with children aged 0-36 months. Older siblings welcome. We welcome everyone, including unaffiliated, single and multi-parent, multi-faith, multi-ethnic, multi-abled, and LGBTQ+ families.

    The Bay Area Children’s Theatre presents The Day You Begin in the Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture. This musical is adapted from acclaimed titles by Jaqueline Woodson.

    There will be times when it’s not easy to take those first steps into a place where nobody really knows you yet … but somehow, you do it. This West Coast premiere musical is based on Jacqueline Woodson’s most popular picture books, a #1 New York Times bestseller illustrated by Rafael López, and featured in its own episode in the Netflix original show Bookmarks: Celebrating Black Voices.

    The Day You Begin is a poignant and heartening musical about finding the courage to connect, even when you feel afraid.
