(This post is sponsored by the San Mateo County Fair.)
It’s Summer! And there is no better place to experience summer than a fair! Don’t you remember the sounds of carnival rides, the soft, huge stuffed animals, and smell of the funnel cake? I know I do! So, how about taking your kids to the San Mateo County Fair?
Last Friday, I got a sneak peek behind-the-scenes tour of the fair and all it has to offer. There are rides, races, animals, exhibits, games, treats and so much more! I met with the Dana Stoehr, CEO and Justin Aquino, Fair Operations Manager and listened to them explain why they do what they do. They have a true passion for creating family fun, and I could feel it as I walked through the fair!
So, grab your family and head over to the San Mateo County Fair, open now until Sunday, June 17th.

Lost Child Prevention Program
When you purchase your tickets, ask for a complimentary lost child prevention program wristband. Then, write your name and phone number on the wristband so a fair associate can call you if your child wonders off to explore alone.
Mother’s Tent
There are two breastfeeding and diaper changing areas: one near the kids’ carnival and one at the south end of the rainforest exhibit.
Healthy Dining Options
Ok, I suggest you try the cinnamons rolls (they were incredible!) but I understand you might be looking for healthier options for your family. Look for healthy dining symbols at participating concessions highlighting healthy options suggested by the San Mateo County Health System.
