Mom Hacks: My Favorite Home Gadgets to Make Life Easier

Many things are advertised to moms as being “convenient”. I don’t know about you, but I have fallen for a few more of these ploys than I’d like to admit. If you’re like me, you probably have a drawer or two full of things that have not been used more than twice around the house – like that garlic-shaped thing that is supposed to help you peel your garlic clean in one go, or that cool thingamabob that is supposed to help cut your fruits and veggies in perfect shapes. Yeah.

This is why I’ve decided to make my own list of gadgets that have actually and practically made my life easier at home! Hopefully, they will help you too. If you have any favorite gadgets that have been a life saver – please share with us in the comments!

Here are my favorite mom-hack home gadgets:

    1. Ninja Foodi
    2. Cyetus Espresso Machine
    3. Better Home & Gardens Washable Area Rug
    4. Jeep Wrangler Stroller Wagon
    5. Midea Upright Freezer
    6. FlexiMounts®️ Garage System
    7. Blade Butler
    8. Cyetus 4-Slot Toaster
    9. Echo Dot with Ring Doorbell
    10. Valyōu Furniture

    1. Ninja Foodi

This. This appliance is THE game changer for me. Having a kid with severe food allergies, we need to prepare all of the allergy-friendly meals at home. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without our Ninja Foodi. With different versatile functions to pressure cook, the air crisp, sear/sauté, steam, slow cook, sous vide, keep warm, bake/roast, broil, dehydrate, etc., this dream machine not only helps keep allergens out of the cooking space but also makes a meal in less than half the time it’d take with conventional cooking methods. In under 20 minutes, you can have a steaming pot of rice, a perfectly roasted chicken (crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside), or a basket of golden fries with no added oil. If you’ve been thinking about getting an air-fryer or slow cooker, get this. Get it now.

    2. Cyetus Espresso Machine

I’m not a regular coffee drinker, but my husband is somewhat of a black coffee snob. We have been through the state-of-the-art-Italian-brand-name-too-big-for-my-house type machine, to the French press, to drip coffee, to fancy Japanese pour over, and landed on this nifty machine. It’s no frills, easy to handle, has all the right parts (shoutout to the warming rack, stainless steel tamper, and cleaning brushes), and it does the job right.

    3. Better Home & Gardens Washable Area Rug

How many times have you thought, “This is why we can’t have nice things”? Well, I had the same thought many times and thought it would be at least a decade before I can have any nice area rugs in the house. Then I found this Persian-style area rug that is both durable and looks great in our living room! It is also machine washable, so there’s no need to stress about staining or fading or using expensive carpet cleaners.

    4. Jeep Wrangler Stroller Wagon

The Jeep wrangler stroller wagon by Delta Children is the perfect wagon for long and short trips with my little one who’s not quite ready to tackle a 20-minute walk and who’s certainly not going to help me lug the library books back home. It is easy to maneuver and comes with a canopy and an adapter for an infant car seat for the younger sibling!

    5. Midea Upright Freezer

We can always, always use more freezer space. This energy-saving, low-noise freezer helps us not only store more goodies, but also helps us organize our frozen items better. We keep frozen desserts (ice cream, popsicles, etc.), ice packs (for boo-boo’s and roadtrips), and opened boxes of food for quick access in our Midea freezer.

    6. Fleximount Garage System

The 3-tier, adjustable storage shelf is made of heavy-duty steel, which offers a high total weight capacity. We put all of our seasonal decor, books, emergency supplies, and memorabilia (a.k.a. kids’ art projects) on this rack to keep our garage less cluttered without having to worry about mildew or warping.

    7. Blade Butler

The Blade Butler is the tool I didn’t know that I needed. It is designed to reach high and capture the dust that normally falls to the floor while cleaning a ceiling fan. It is 69″ in length, so it helps me reach my ceiling fans that would otherwise be totally inaccessible unless I climb up on a high ladder (no thanks). The washable microfiber bag captures the dust and keeps dust and debris from falling to the floor or furniture below. Easy peasy, fewer sneezies!

    8. Cyetus 4-Slot Toaster

If you are looking for a nice toaster, this is it. With four slots, you can make a heck of a club sandwich, 4 waffles, or two separate sandwiches/bagels toasted to perfection. There are 9 browning levels to choose from, so you can tailor them to everyone’s preferences. Looks good, toasts well!

    9. Echo Dot with Ring Doorbell

I love both our Ring doorbell and Echo Dot. With the Ring doorbell, I get peace of mind about who’s at the door. It also helps tremendously with food/grocery deliveries – so I know to put them away sooner rather than later. The Echo Dot can connect to the Ring and act as an intercom, and it can connect to a variety of smart home devices such as light switches, a/c, TV, and more. Added bonus: ask Alexa to rap.

    10. Valyōu Furniture

Back to the “we can’t have nice things… yes, you can! We love our faux leather couch from Valyōu – it’s pet-proof (that generally means it’s also kids-proof) and waterproof. You couldn’t tell how many spills have happened on our couch! You can even customize the length of the couch and move around different pieces to complete the right look for your crib.
