    Hooray for September! Good weather is just around the corner, and we can’t wait. Here’s what’s going on around town this month.

    Public Library Children’s Activities

    Check out all the great programs taking place across the main and branch locations of the public library this month.

    Toddler Tuesdays

    Salesforce Transit Center, Children’s Play Area

    Tuesdays, 10-11am

    Now through October 23, enjoy “fun in the sun with rotating activities entertainment like storytime, magic, and games.”

    Kids Improv & Movement  Class

    Salesforce Transit Center, Amphitheater Lawn

    Thursdays, 3:30-4:30pm

    Now through October 25, “an energetic hour of on-your-feet movement and theater games (ages 7-10). Led by Epiphany Dance Theater.”

    Urban Play Family Fitness

    Saturdays, 9:30-10:30am

    Now through October 27, a “children’s fitness class that promotes healthy choices and active lifestyles using a combination of play and education for all ages.”

    S.T.E.A.M. Saturdays

    Salesforce Transit Center, Children’s Play Area

    10:30 – 12:00

    Now through October 27, “hands-on creativity in science and art activities (ages 4-9) with our partners. August is Music in Schools Today; September is Children’s Creativity Museum; October is Bricks 4 Kidz.”

    Cinderella @ Walt Disney Family Museum

    Sun & Mon – Friday: 1 pm

    Sat: 4 pm

    Walt Disney Family Museum, Presidio

    Bring the kids to watch this Disney classic in a cozy theater on the lower level of the museum. Plays every day except Tuesdays.

    Off the Grid Food Trucks 

    Check the schedule to see where the food trucks will be parked around the city.

    “Get together this Summer with other moms, dads and caregivers, along with their children, on the first Friday of every month for a docent-led tour of the Asian Art Museum. Tours begin at 9:30 am before the museum opens to the public. Fussy babies are always welcome!”  Tickets must be purchased no later than Sept. 6.

    “Join us for the 9th annual San Francisco Giant Race Presented By Alaska Airlines Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, Kids Race & Family Relay on September 9, 2018. The Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K courses tour the scenic San Francisco waterfront and participants receive a shirt, finisher medal and exclusive runner bobblehead featuring Bruce Bochy. Kids Race & Family Relay participants receive a medal and bobblehead. All races finish on the field at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants.”

    Jog in the Fog

    Mountain Lake Park

    “It’s time for the sixth annual Richmond District Jog in the Fog, a 5k fun run/walk for the whole family. The course runs on road and trail through the Richmond District neighborhood of San Francisco, including Mountain Lake Park and along the scenic cliffs of Lands End.”
