Gatepath, a nonprofit serving individuals with developmental disabilities and their families for more than 98 years, has launched a new social enterprise, Grins ‘n’ Giggles.
Located in Burlingame, Grins ‘n’ Giggles is a party place for children of all abilities ages two to five. The new social enterprise will operate at the nonprofit’s Learning Links Preschool in the McCarthy Center for Children & Families. The party space was designed with specialized indoor and outdoor play structures to accommodate children with special needs and disabilities and is available year-round, rain or shine.
Parents and caregivers can work directly with party planners to customize their child’s party to the unique needs of the child and their guests. One of the elements of Grins ‘n’ Giggles that sets it apart from most party venues is that the parties are hosted by early childhood educators who will help parents have a fun-filled day of activities, which could include face painting, art projects, bounce house jumping, parachute games, and guided play.

“The staff went out of their way to make sure all of my son’s and other party attendees needs were met,” said Andrea Chamberlin, who was one of the first to host her son’s party at Grins ‘n’ Giggles. “The sensory-friendly activities were well planned, the snacks were just right, the decorations were above and beyond, and the time capsule was a great surprise.”
Andrea went on to say that all of the parents said their children had a wonderful experience and that it would be a party remembered for years to come.
Party packages and parent’s night out are offered on most weekends. Learn more about our $50 off grand opening special offer that runs through February 2019 and host your child’s special day with Grins ‘n’ Giggles by visiting GrinsNGiggles.org.
