    SF Half Marathon & 5K

    Come cheer on the participants in The Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Half Marathon, a certified course that has been selected as Road Race of the Year by the Road Runners Club of America. After the race, follow the runners and walkers into the post-race area for free massages and other offerings.

    Every first and third Sunday of the month meet in the cozy children’s book nook for lively readings of nature-themed stories.     Meet across from the Beach Chalet at Stairwell 17 to volunteer to help clean up Ocean Beach. Buckets and other supplies will be provided. Clean up happens every first and third Sunday of the month and no advanced registration is required.

    Randall Museum Grand Reopening

    After a $9 million renovation, the Randall Museum, a one-of-a-kind art and science education center, reopens to the public. The renovation project brings new features to the museum including a state-of-the-art STEM lab, geology and zoology exhibits, an elevator, and a cafe, as well as updates to the live animal exhibit, science and ceramics studios, classrooms, and the first-floor lobby. To celebrate this occasion, the Department and RMF will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10am, followed by a special family festival with free art and science activities, live entertainment, and more.

    This two-story interactive pop-up exhibition celebrates color and material, featuring work by a collection of artists and collaborators. It’s a must-see but plan accordingly. Tickets must be purchased in advance (sold out at time of publishing) and strollers are not permitted inside. Join their newsletter to stay up to date on new ticket releases. $32 per person. Children under 2 are free. Open 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM every day except Wednesdays.
