Foster City Events & Fireworks  

9am – 10pm

Leo Ryan Park

Festive events are planned for the entire day, including a pancake breakfast, festival, family and dog parade at 11am, and fireworks at 9:30 pm. Click here for all event details. Free.

Los Altos Hills Scooter & Skateboard Parade  

9:30 – 11:00 am

Los Altos Town Hall

Bring your scooters, bikes, and trikes to march in this town parade. “Parade participants should gather at Town Hall beginning at 9:30 am. The march begins at 10 am. The parade route will take the tiny marchers parade down Fremont Road and conclude at Gardner Bullis School where you can meet your friends and neighbors for a refreshing beverage and a juicy watermelon treat.” Free.  

Los Altos 4th of July Park Festival 

10:30 – 2:00 pm

Shoup Park

“Bring your family & enjoy an old-fashioned good time as we celebrate our nation’s independence & the 20th Anniversary of the Cradle of Liberty with patriotic music, kids games, & food for sale.”

Los Gatos  4th of July Symphony in the Park  

11:00 – 3:30 pm

Oak Meadow Park

The Town of Los Gatos invites you to celebrate the 4th of July with food, games, fun and a traditional performance by the San Jose Wind Symphony. Check out the website for the full schedule of events. 

Menlo Park 4th of July Parade & Festival  

11:45 – 2:30 pm

Parade begins in the parking lot behind the Wells Fargo Bank, 1080 Curtis St.

Festival in Burgess Park beginning at 12:00 pm

Come dressed in your red, white, and blue for the parade and festival. “Activities will include live music, inflatable jump houses, giant slides, games, crafts, face painting, rock walls, and more. Food and drinks can be purchased from one of the many community vendors and food trucks.”  

Mountainview SF Symphony Fireworks Spectacular 

8:00 PM

Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountainview

It’s hard to beat the annual performance of the SF Symphony’s Fireworks Spectacular. This year’s program features an eclectic mix of music and finishes with a fireworks finale. $25

Palo Alto Summer Fest and Chili Cook-Off 

12:00 – 5:00 pm 

Mitchell Park

Compete in the cook-off or come taste the finished product at this annual event drawing thousands of people to Mitchell Park for the food, live music, and more. $5

Redwood City  Old-Fashioned 4th & Ice Cream Making Party   

10:00 am – 4:00 pm 

History Museum

“Celebrate Independence Day!  Watch the Historical Association’s entry in the Redwood City Parade.  Then, come inside the History Museum and make Fourth of July crafts from the 1880s. Turn the handle of the ice cream churn and earn a taste of homemade vanilla ice cream.  At 1 p.m., watch vintage films from the archives in Courtroom A.”

Redwood City Events and Fireworks

Downtown Redwood City, Hamilton & Broadway

Festive events are planned for the entire day, including a pancake breakfast, 5k, festival, parade at 10am, a battle of the bands, and fireworks at 9:30 pm. Click here for all event details. Free.

Santa Clara All City Picnic & 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza 

12:00 – 10:00 pm

Central Park

“Celebrate Independence Day at the All City Picnic at Central Park beginning at 12:00 pm with carnival games, face painting, jump houses and more for the kids and free recreational swimming at the International Swim Center. There will be plenty of food available for sale along with live entertainment all day. Stay for a patriotic fireworks display at 9:30 pm.”

San Jose Rose, White & Blue Parade

10:00 am

The Alameda 

“The Rose, White, and Blue Parade is a much-beloved annual event in San Jose’s Rose Garden–area neighborhoods along The Alameda, which has a rich history of parades, including the Carnival of Roses and the Fiesta De las Rosas. This year, we celebrate our 11th Anniversary, making this the longest running parade in the history of The Alameda.” Free. 

San Jose Rotary Fireworks Celebration 

6:00 – 10:00 pm  

Discovery Meadow

“Join the Rotary Club of San Jose in celebrating Independence Day at Discovery Meadow. Promoting safe fireworks in our community through free, fun, family-friendly professional fireworks. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30PM.”

San Jose Giants Baseball Game & 4th of July Fireworks  

6:30 pm

“The minor league San Jose Giants baseball club puts on a post-game 4th of July Fireworks show for 2018. You can watch the post-game fireworks show for free. Fireworks will light the sky at approximately 9:30 pm.”

Woodside Junior Rodeo

7:30 – 5:30 pm

521 Kings Mountain Road

This marvelous event is fun for the entire family. Gates open at 7:30 am, but the main event – the rodeo – begins at noon with a special Color Guard presentation. Young riders (ages 12 – 18) come from all over California to compete in thrilling rodeo competitions such as roping, range riders, and bull riding. Pony rides, a petting zoo, a pig scramble, beer garden and food for purchase round out the day.
