Saturday, Sept. 8

Pete the Cat | Bay Area Children’s Theater

Children’s Creativity Museum

When the cat-catcher finds Pete rockin’ out on his guitar after bedtime, he sends Pete to the Biddles’ to learn some manners. But Pete won’t go silently into house cat arrest–not when he can jam with the family and help Jimmy Biddle paint the crucial picture he needs to pass second grade.

Rock out with Pete the Cat and friends in this groovy musical! Purr-fect for ages 3-8.

Visit a Greenpeace Ship

Pier 19

10am-5pm

“Join Greenpeace on board the Arctic Sunrise in San Francisco and learn about life at sea as an activist, take a guided tour of the Arctic Sunrise, immerse yourself in the history of environmentalism and snap that photo in front of the iconic dove and rainbow on the ship’s bow. Be a part of the 2018 West Coast Ship Tour and learn about how we can all work together to protect our communities, our coasts, and our climate.”

Ghiradelli Chocolate Festival

“This family-friendly event features prominent local chefs creating chocolate inventions during cooking demonstrations, and live musical entertainment. Over 30 different booths from local restaurants, bakeries and chocolate companies will provide dessert samples during the two-day event.”

Shakespeare in the Park: A Mid Summer’s Night Dream

Giant Race 

7am

“Join us for the 9th annual San Francisco Giant Race Presented By Alaska Airlines Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, Kids Race & Family Relay on September 9, 2018. The Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K courses tour the scenic San Francisco waterfront and participants receive a shirt, finisher medal and exclusive runner bobblehead featuring Bruce Bochy. Kids Race & Family Relay participants receive a medal and bobblehead. All races finish on the field at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants.”

Jog in the Fog

8-11am

Mountain Lake Park

“It’s time for the sixth annual Richmond District Jog in the Fog, a 5k fun run/walk for the whole family. The course runs on road and trail through the Richmond District neighborhood of San Francisco, including Mountain Lake Park and along the scenic cliffs of Lands End.”
