Happy long weekend! I’m so excited for three days of family fun and some much-needed relaxation. I’m getting a facial at the Nob Hill Spa on Sunday and I cannot wait to check it out! Do you have any plans to squeeze in some self-care this weekend? As we head into the weekend, I thought I’d share a few favorites and some things that caught my eye this week…

When I see an article titled The Key To Raising a Happy Child, I’m intrigued.
My husband and I have been on a sci-fi kick lately, so the idea of living in a spaceship sounds super cool.
I can’t wait to take my little guy to climb and slide at the newly renovated Helen Diller Civic Center Playgrounds! Fingers crossed that the city keeps it clean and safe for all kiddos to enjoy.
My son could snack on olives all day long, so I can’t wait to test out this recipe this weekend.
Four siblings visit a fortune teller who tells each one of them when they will die. If you are looking for a family drama that is tough to put down, The Immortalists is it.
If you bump into me around town this weekend, I will likely be wearing these jeans, because something about a comfortable pair of black jeans feels sexy, even if you’re just chasing your toddler around the park.
On a serious note. . .
It’s hard to find the right words to describe how heartbreaking and terrifying it is to read news about Wednesday’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida. I’ve been doing some reading about school shootings this morning, and according to the organization Everytown, there have been 291 school shootings since 2013. How is this possible?! Politics of gun control aside, parents shouldn’t have to worry about semi-automatic weapons when we drop our kids off at school.
In case you missed it. . .
Monday, Annabelle inspired us to break out of our routines and talked about how Filld helped her do just that.
Tuesday, Amy shared an adorable craft project to try with your littles.
Wednesday, Laura talked about Vday celebrations after kids.
Thursday, Jen shared 4 ways she’s using up her frozen breastmilk stash now that her little guy refuses his bottles.
Today, Jeanne filled us in on a few of her family’s Chinese New Year traditions.
And over at Mid-Peninsula Moms Blog:
A fascinating fertility story; your cheat sheet for flu season, some oh-so-relatable musings on the evolution of love in relationships, and a must read about why that food allergy scene in the new Peter Rabbit movie is really messed up.
