TouchNoteWhat is the last thing you received in the mail that made you smile? During the holidays, I love opening the mailbox and finding holiday cards from friends and family, and it always makes me wish I received more fun mail year round. It’s so exciting to get a surprise package (rather than another Amazon purchase) and a postcard from a traveling friend is an extra special treat. My dad sends the funniest birthday cards, and my mom’s care packages or “just thinking of you” notes always make me feel closer to home.

Receiving something in the mail always brightens my day, but I almost enjoy sending mail even more. When I was growing up I didn’t live in the same city as my grandparents, so writing letters and sending cards helped me feel close to them. I loved writing letters in my very best handwriting on the special stationary they gave me, and it was a thrill to receive replies in their old-fashioned cursive. I have also lived far away from my parents and sister since college, and sending cards and packages has become an alternative way to send love to them too.

With a wild toddler on the loose, it can be hard to find time to go to the bathroom, let alone sit down and write a card. This is why I’m loving the app TouchNote. TouchNote turns the thoughtful gesture of sending a card and into a simple and quick process that even busy moms have time for. I was able to create a Valentine’s Day card for my sister, featuring some silly and adorable photos of my son, before he was finished with his lunch. TouchNote has a variety of heart-filled Valentine’s designs to choose from, and you can add photos to your card right from your phone, desktop, or tablet. The best part, however, is that once you put the finishing touches on your card and type in an address, TouchNote takes care of the actual mailing part. I got an email saying my card is already on its way and will arrive at “Auntie’s” house in two to five days. Yay!

I shamelessly love Valentine’s Day, so it was the perfect excuse to send a cute card, but TouchNote has plenty of other postcard and greeting card options for other holidays or just to say hello. I had so much fun exploring all the designs and personalizing each card with photos that I also sent a postcard to my Grandma and my friend Erica. I can’t wait to have an excuse to send a thank you note or a birthday card using TouchNote!

TouchNote takes the nostalgia of snail mail and brings it into the 21st century. I love sending handwritten letters and cards, so I wondered if creating the cards digitally would feel less special, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The app was so straightforward and easy to navigate that I sent more cards in one weekend than I have in months! I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy creating the cards myself, making each one unique with photos of our family. TouchNote makes keeping in touch with loved ones a fast and personal process- what more could you ask for?

Check out TouchNote for yourself and brighten someone’s day!
