Why Moms LOVE Costco :: Costco Mom Hour

unnamed*This post is sponsored – but the thoughts and feelings are our own, and we only work with businesses we believe to be reputable and resourceful to our readers.  San Francisco Moms Blog wants to let you in on a little “mom” secret- COSTCO.  Costco makes everything a little easier, and they have everything you could ever need from toilet paper, organic foods, diapers, electronics, clothes to seasonal items and more!

City Moms Blog Network is teaming up with Costco for the Costco Mom Hour: A Holiday Shopping Event, November 4th, and you’re invited!  The South San Francisco Costco will be opening their doors an hour early for a special shopping event just for San Francisco Mom Blog readers. There will be free coffee and breakfast, membership specials, and goodie bags!

So, why do moms LOVE Costco?  Here’s our list!

They have so many things in one place!

img_9695Why go to all these other stores when you can get everything you need in one stop? Just recently, I was shopping for food, and I also found a super cute long sleeve athletic top, perfect to go with my daily yoga pants this Fall!  And did I mention that Costco has seasonal items too?  I stocked up on a huge bag of Halloween candy and Christmas wrapping paper in the same visit!

They give samples!

Kids love samples, and it keeps them happy as you are doing your shopping.  And why not let them try something before you buy it? This will avoid the “new product tantrum” when they declare at the top of their lungs that they don’t like what you purchased.

Buying in bulk saves you time and money!

Toilet paper, paper towels, diapers– check!  Stop trying to remember to buy paper towels every time you run out. Buy in bulk!  I also love buying staple cooking items at Costco like olive oil, something I use almost everyday.  Why not get that huge bottle and then refill the fancy bottle you have next to the stove?  Another thing I love to buy in bulk is meat.  I like to divide the meat up into freezer bags to make future dinner planning easier.  The other day, I purchased a huge salmon filet and cut it up into multiple fillets sized perfect for a quick dinner. Defrost and done!

Snacks!

fullsizerender-40Costco has an amazing selection of snacks for you and your kids. I just purchased this box of Snacking Nuts, a 30 pack assortment of 1.6oz bags of peanuts, almonds, and cashews.  I am always snacking on the go, running to drop off and pick up, and these are perfect for the diaper bag, for me! In addition to mommy snacks, you can also stock up on the kids’ favorites: apple sauce, fruit snacks, you name it. Buy it once a month and be done!

Come see what we are talking about!
