Friday Faves & Finds (3.9.18)

week in review

Whew! We made it. One of my kids was sick all week, which meant I was working overtime in the Mom department. She’s all better now, and we have a fun weekend planned with a little adventure to Livermore with friends for some wine tasting and a visit to Lost Worlds Adventures, a ginormous “indoor family fun center.” Have you ever been? Is it going to be insanely packed on a cloudy, chilly Saturday? I’m not sure if it’s going to be better to begin or end with the wine tasting!

Here are some other things that caught my eye this week.

This video of four puppies snuggling with their mom takes the meaning of cute to a whole new level. The little one tucked under his mom’s arm is all the heart-eye emojis.

I’d never heard of Musical.ly until I read this article and now I just want to go bury my head in the sand and pretend none of this exists.

Yesterday was International Women’s Day and I loved reading these powerful quotes from inspirational women.

With the weather turning dreary again, I’m craving this super healthy and hearty turkey shepherd’s pie recipe. It’s a staple in our house.

I happen to know the two ladies behind They See Me Mommin’ and their real-life charm and charisma are on full display in their podcast.

In case you missed it. . .

Erika confessed her resolution for Q2, and while it may sound simple to achieve, it’s actually really hard to do, as any stay-at-home mom will tell you.

Shannon offered five ways to make yourself a priority – another easier said than done proposition, but when the fifth suggestion is to celebrate your success, then you know these are doable.

Erika was back with an easy, toddler-approved way to “St. Patrickize” your Rice Krispies treats.

Kelly and Sarah went live on Facebook to answer your questions about children’s sleep.

We published a guide to Easter egg hunts and events around the Peninsula.

And at San Francisco Moms Blog. . .

Really practical advice to help you make mom friends; winning tips for packing toddler lunches and an easy recipe for fried rice; a plot hole uncovered in the show This Is Us; a guide to Easter egg hunts and events around the city; tickets went live for the Moms Only Easter Egg Hunt at the Ambiance boutique; how to avoid the less than adorable moments that come with the fun of 18 month olds; and tips for setting up the right payroll records for nannies
