Friday Faves & Finds (5.18.18)

week in review

TGIF! I am so grateful for a weekend, as I am still recovering from an exhausting, albeit enjoyable trip to Disneyland. I can’t believe it’s been a week since our trip. Time to plan our next one! Since spring is finally here, I am loving the sherbet-colored fashions for my daughter Ilse and me. When the sun is out all day, wearing black feels too heavy and hot. Here are just a few of my latest daughter and mommy fashion faves and finds.

Carters Toddler Girls Skorts – I want these in all the prints and patterns. Why can’t they make these for adults? Constructed of cotton and featuring built-in shorts for modesty, the skorts are perfect for summer be with.  Ilse loves them because they match with everything. We packed three of them for this past weekend’s trip.

Family Outfits – Target just released a line of family outfits. Coordinating outfits for family photos or just because cannot get any easier. While my husband does not care for family coordination (except for holidays), I love matching with my daughter Ilse. If we are shopping at Target for matching dresses, we might as well shop for a few necessities, like our favorite hair products.

Fashion for this mommy and daughter duo begins at the top, with our hair.  Ilse and I both have long hair, but with different textures. Hers is straight with a little wave; mine is curly.  Before I primp our hairdos for the day, we have to tackle the tangles. Detangling products are a must for us. We love Johnson and Johnson Thick & Curly Shampoo and Johnson and Johnson Detangling Spray. We wash her hair with the shampoo every night. It’s gentle with few chemicals and has the faintest powdery scent. Both of us use the detangling spray for knots and stray hairs that won’t stay flat. Our last favorite hair product is the Wiggle Pin Brush. It detangles like a dream and has a mirror on the back (perfect for makeup touch-ups for me). We own three. Unfortunately, the brush is hard to find; We have only been able to find it at Bed Bath and Beyond.
